In the same month (February 2024), Forbes.com published an article entitled, “The 20 Best European Destinations in 2024: Marbella tops Travel Survey” announcing the results of the European Best Destinations (EBD) award.
Out of 500 destinations, over one million holiday makers voted for the 20 trendiest places, with Marbella taking the crown as the best European Destinations of 2024. Marbella received a landslide of votes, followed by Monaco, Malta and Geneva.
A representative for EBD clarified, the result was based on the superb all-year-round sunny climate, 5-star hotels, facilities and gastronomy and the outdoor sporty lifestyle, including world-class golf courses.
These two accolades are not isolated, they come hot on the heels of Málaga being voted the second-best global destination for executive digital nomads in the global Executive Nomads Index study. This sentiment was also echoed in an article published in the UK newspaper ‘The Times’, outlining the increasing appeal of Málaga province amongst British buyers who want a piece of the Costa del Sol property market. Outlining how the city has benefited from extensive investment, it has a thriving technical park Parque Technológico de Andalucía de Andalucía, which is Spain’s answer to Silicon Valley.
