Top Summer Festivals on the Costa del Sol 2025

From Malaga to Marbella there will be a myriad of colourful festivals taking place over the summer, with music, fashion, food and much more.

There are too many to mention, so we’ve compiled a list of our favourite festivals, so you can make sure you don’t miss out this summer. Whether you live in Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmadena or Benahavís, there is something for everyone.

1. Starlite Occidental Festival, Marbella

Let’s kick off with the biggest and best-known boutique festival in Europe – the Starlite Festival. Not so much a festival, more of a Marbella institution, this three-month extravaganza was launched in 2012, and since then it has got bigger and better each year.

Set against the uniquely dramatic backdrop of Nagüeles quarry and the Sierra Blanca mountains, global stars (past and present) perform each night, this year acts icons such as Will Smith, The Beach Boys, The Pet Shop Boys and Santana, alongside well-known Spanish artists. 2. Brisa Festival, Malaga

Brisa Festival is definitely one of the most hotly anticipated and biggest Festivals in central Málaga’s summer calendar. Held just 2kms from the city centre in the cruise terminal area at Málaga port this seafront venue cannot be beaten. There are two large stages, a grass area, chill out zone and food area, where you can enjoy a great atmosphere and music from popular Spanish and international musicians and bands. This year the three-day line-up includes Dani Fernández (former boy band star), Duncan Dhu, Long Live Sweden and many more. 3. Marenostrum, Fuengirola

Marenostrum has been one of the summer’s most popular events on the Costa del Sol since it first burst on to the scene in 2016. It is considered to have considerable pulling power –, attracting an impressive and diverse line-up of stars, including international names like Jennifer Lopez, Lionel Richie, Ricky Martin, Bob Dylan, The Prodigy, Carl Cox and many more. Add to this one of the most picturesque venues, next to one of Fuengirola’s most famous icons, Sohail Castle, and overlooking the pristine Mediterranean Sea. This festival has the added kudos of achieving the highest attendance rate throughout Spain over the last three consecutive years.

The venue has a choice of different restaurants, bars and cocktail lounges dotted around the site and a bar service available via food trucks. 4. Weekend Beach Festival

If you only go to one festival in 2025, you should consider attending the Weekend Beach Festival, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary. This year’s line-up includes Kaiser Chiefs, Adrian Mills, Abdon, Agents of Time and Spanish favourites including Huecco, Jose delasheras and much more.
